Divine Blood: Portal of LifeThis image is the fruit of years of wondering and months of study on the Biblical meaning of the word blood. It was sparked by this verse:
“Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.”
Hebrews 9:22 This has always perplexed me. I rejected Christianity in college and this was one of many reasons. “It seems so barbaric,” I, rather spitefully, told my father. Since God rescued me from demons in 2013, I have sought to truly understand why He says things that seem strange to me, instead of just rejecting them.
Here is a video exploring the Old Covenant practice of ritual sacrifice that brought about atonement, which Yeshua fulfilled, bringing about the New Covenant:https://youtu.be/G_OlRWGLdnw
“You who were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:13
Last year I became more involved in deep Bible studies, and began thinking about the blood more metaphysically. In a deeper search I discovered the amazing meanings behind the Hebrew characters that comprise the Hebrew word for blood, pronounced “dam“. (Connected to the name, Adam). You can dig deeper too at this extremely enlightening site: http://livingwordin3d.com/discovery/2016/10/03/hebrew-word-study-blood/.
“For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.” Leviticus 17:22
“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood” Revelation 1:5
Jesus is the physical and spiritual DOOR of salvation, forged by the shedding of His blood on earth and in heaven:
“He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands and is not part of this created world. By his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—He entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever.”
Hebrews 9:11b-12 (ESV/NLT, read the whole chapter for the context)
God Himself took our place, as His eternal Son, to bear His own wrath.
Jesus entered into everything opposite Himself: sin and death,
to make a way for us to come into His eternal life.
Therefore He has unlocked every jail cell keeping us captive to sin and eternal death.
All we must do is
look to Him,
let His light expose our sin, and
repent and believe!
Then we will walk right out of our cell!
“Yeshua, Jesus Christ, came by water and blood. Not only water, but also by blood. And it is the Spirit of God, Ruach Elohim, who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven:
the Father (YAHWEH), the Word (Yeshua), and the Holy Spirit (Ruach Elohim); and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.”
1 John 5:6-8 NKJV
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
Hebrews 2:14-15 NLT
The flesh — human nature, physical existence — is where sin dwells, and all have sinned: every single person (Romans 3:23). Yeshua came into the same flesh as ours to defeat death, by dying. It makes me think even more of an implosion, a portal created through the death of the only One who could not truly die, because He is Heaven Himself.
He spilled His blood for you. Come out into the light, be exposed, be cleansed, and live forever!!
“When our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
“Death is swallowed up in victory
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:55-57
“I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. Anyone who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. I live because of the Living Father who sent Me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on Me will live because of Me. I am the true bread that came down from heaven.”
We taste Thee, O Thou Living Bread,
And long to feast upon Thee still:
We drink of Thee, the Fountainhead
And thirst our souls from Thee to fill.
